A Sostre Cívic We continue to bet on an affordable, stable and community housing model. For this reason, we are opening registrations for three new cooperative housing projects for lease: The Bertrana in Manresa, Land of the Sea a Palamós i El Cairó in Granollers.

Registrations to be part of the driving groups are now open and can be done through the page of each project.

Three projects, one goal: decent and accessible housing

The three projects are developed through public-cooperative collaborations and offer Social housing on municipal land which have been transferred to us in surface rights. This guarantees that these homes remain outside of real estate speculation and are preserved for future generations.

(I.e. The Bertrana (Manresa)

A new cooperative housing building with 60 official protection homes and more than 300 m² of collective spaces to promote community life. The location, on Pilar Bertran Vallès Street, between the neighborhoods of Viladordis and La Balconada, is part of an urban development plan promoted by the Manresa City Council.

The project arises from public-cooperative collaboration, as the council has given us the land in surface rights for 75 years extendableIn addition, part of the funding comes from the Next Generation European funds, as well as a credit from Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) intended for the promotion of social housing.

The building will be constructed with sustainable materials and energy-efficient techniques, including aerothermal energy, solar panels and water recovery systems. The entry to live is planned for 2027.

(I.e. Land of the Sea (Palamós)

The first cooperative housing project in Palamós, in Baix Empordà, which will offer 34 official protection homes from 39 to 67 m², and more than 200 m² of collective spaces. The building, designed by UMMA Architects, will follow high energy efficiency standards and will obtain the GREEN seal of the Green Building Council Spain.

The project is being developed in a field of 1.000 m² on Catalunya Avenue, provided by the City Council of Palamós in surface law for 75 yearsThis collaboration seeks to expand the affordable housing stock in a municipality with strong real estate pressure due to tourism, offering a non-speculative alternative. 25% of homes are reserved for vulnerable groups with young people up to 35 years old, single-parent families and people over 65 years oldThe expected monthly installments range between 490 and 750 €, depending on the size of the home, and the initial returnable capital contribution will be between 13.000 and 17.000 €.

(I.e. El Cairó (Granollers)

A pioneering project in the municipality, located on the street Rossello, 97, which will consist of 29 homes between 47 and 69 m², with several common spaces as one multipurpose room, parking for bicycles and shared cars, laundry and a communal space on the roof.

An important part of the project is its commitment to social inclusion: 25% of the homes will be reserved for people registered in Granollers for at least two years, eight homes will be allocated to young people up to 35 years old and eight more to vulnerable groups, such as single-parent families and people with disabilities. The monthly fees for the available homes (two and three bedrooms) will range between 886 and 986 €, including community expenses, and the initial capital contribution will be between 20.994 and 23.353 €, depending on the size of the home.

To register for any of the projects, you must be partner of Sostre Cívic and meet the requirements of the Register of Applicants for Officially Protected Housing.
