Do you want to know about alternative housing models beyond renting or buying? Are you a group that wants to carry out a cooperative housing project and don't know where to start? We present to you the activities that we will do in the coming months from the Coòpolis Consumer Circle to promote co-operative housing in use!

What are Coopolis Circles?

Coopolis, the Ateneu Cooperatiu de Barcelona, ​​works to encourage and promote the Social and Solidarity Economy in the city. With this objective, it has four circles based on its strategic lines:

• migrations
• Consum
• Cooperative Culture
• Feminist and Care Economy

The Cooperative Consumption Circle is an initiative of four entities of the Social and Solidarity Economy: the cooperatives Quèviure, Opcions of Responsible Consumption, Sostre Cívic i theFETS Association.

In this framework, we work for promote transformative consumption based on collective and cooperative practices, and favoring both the change in people's habits and helping to create and consolidate consumption alternatives that facilitate these changes. In addition, we contribute to generate employment through the accompaniment and support of cooperatives in the field of consumption (food, housing, finance, culture...) in the city of Barcelona.

From April to September 2019, we will have the following proposals related to cooperative housing under a regime of use, promoted by the Cercle de Consum de Coòpolis:

Information sessions to raise awareness and spread cooperative housing

In this activity we will discuss the problem of access to housing and how alternative models can become a reality, detailing the keys to the right of use model and its values. We will also explain different experiences of the city, and the different phases to carry out a project of these characteristics.

Workshops for groups interested in promoting new cooperative housing projects in the city of Barcelona

Are you a group or collective of 5 or more people and want to carry out a cooperative housing project in right of use in Barcelona? We look forward to seeing you at this workshop! This is a group session where the first guidelines will be given to tackle the project or, if you are already a little advanced, you will have technical support specialized in accompanying the cooperative housing under a regime of use.

To participate in the workshops, it is necessary to fill out the next form with some basic data. We will contact you to specify the date and time of the session that we have awarded you.
