We start the first challenge with the companies of the Supplier Exchange

In July we started an important process for guarantee fairness and transparency in the choice and hiring of architects, surveyors, and other professionals for our projects. So, a "Supplier Selection Protocol" was approved and the formation of a Stock Exchange of technical equipment suppliers of architecture. This initiative has a triple objective: order the selection of the teams in an equitable way, guarantee their solvency, and at the same time promote the ESS and new teams.

The formation of the Stock Exchange concluded with very good results: 58 companies were registered, with different characteristics and level of experience, of which 49 have been accredited as suppliers to the cooperative. It should be noted that, of those accredited, 19 companies are cooperatives and 18 companies are teams of young architects.
We can say that the Stock Exchange call was a great success!

How do we work from now on?
According to the Protocol we approved, for each new project that requires the hiring of architecture suppliers, a computerized selection process will be followed through the Stock Exchange of suppliers.

First of all, depending on the characteristics of the project, a series of criteria available on the Stock Exchange is chosen, which will result in a preselection of 3 teams. These preselected teams then take part in a restricted competition which can be just a CV assessment, or which can also be an ideas competition, depending on the volume and characteristics of the promotion.

You can find all the details, requirements and procedures in the bases of the Exchange of equipment and professionals providing architectural services Sostre Cívic.

We're opening the Stock Exchange with a first competition!
The first selection of architects that we will carry out through the Supplier Exchange will be that of project Can 70 in the neighborhood of Sarrià, in Barcelona. This is a strategic project for the sector, because it will be the first senior cooperative housing development to be built on public land in Catalonia and the State, and it has been transferred through a agreement between the City Council, the Federation of cooperatives and other bodies.

Presentation of the competition to the project group Can 70

The participants invited for this restricted competition have been pre-selected from among all the accredited suppliers of Sostre Cívic, based on a series of criteria/filters chosen by the technical team and the project partners Can 70, which have mainly been related to his experience in residential for the elderly. The participants will be the teams of Pau Vidal Pont, Batllori & Trepat arquitectes and Peris-Toral.

This process will have two phases: the first in which criteria related to the participants' careers, values and cooperative model are automatically evaluated; and the second, where they will have to propose a preliminary project considering all aspects of the architectural project in a preliminary way. The jury will be made up of members of the Project Can 70, and of the board of directors and the technical team of Sostre Cívic, and will also have the presence of external experts in the field of senior projects.

Last October 4, the restricted competition was presented, with all the participants present, and the teams have already started working on the proposal... good luck!
