Cooperative housing in right of use is an alternative model of access to housing, a model that has many challenges to spread throughout the territory, but we are aware that one of the main difficulties of access are the requirements economic and financial that fall on the cooperative, the members, especially during the first phases of the projects. 

That's why the dynamo and Civic Roof they work collaboratively to facilitate the promotion of new projects, overcome economic difficulties and facilitate and democratize access.

This desire is what has led La Dinamo to reconsider different ways of dealing with economic limitations in different lines, among which is making available part of the Foundation's own resources at the service of housing cooperatives.

So despite not being a financial institution, La Dinamo has different financial support mechanisms for cooperatives. One of these mechanisms is participatory loans: this is financing with a vocation of permanence designed for cooperative housing projects in right of use that are starting the acquisition, construction or rehabilitation of their homes.

In this way The Dinamo and Sostre Cívic we have signed a participatory loan for the promotion of the project of Cirerers, which demonstrates the importance of inter-cooperation in the sector, if we want the model to be replicated and spread across the territory.

The project Cirerers, in the neighborhood of Roquetes (Nou Barris) born from the awarding of one of the public lots by Barcelona city council in 2017, and is currently in the process of finishing the works on its 7-storey building with 32 homes and community spaces such as a workshop space on the ground floor, laundry spaces on each floor, a multipurpose room, a co-working space and several terraces . In addition, they look after sustainability and bet on making rational use of resources and being self-sufficient by taking advantage of the building's own natural flows. Its inauguration is expected during the first quarter of 2022.

The street Cirerers, in addition, it will become a "hub" of cooperative housing, since as neighbors they have La Morada, another cooperative housing project in promotion accompanied by La Dinamo. 

the dynamo is a foundation born with the aim of encouraging and promoting the implementation of the cooperative housing model in right of use as an alternative to conventional models of access to housing. Encouraging inter-cooperation and promoting networking, in order to collectively build an alternative model of non-speculative, inclusive and sustainable housing and collective ownership.

Sostre Cívic is a housing cooperative whose social object is the dual aspect of dissemination and promotion of the housing cooperative model in right of use, as well as the promotion of housing projects for its social base, betting on a new model of access to housing that is economically accessible and without entering the speculative market.
