With the arrival of the new school year, one also arrives new edition of the school of Sostre Cívic! We have already prepared the new Training Plan for the 2024-2025 academic year, dates, contents and format, and we want to share it with you. This year we are loaded with news and very eager to continue empowering our community. Training is key to strengthening us as a cooperative, and we want you all to participate actively.

The first edition of the school was last year and was a great success, with more than 150 partners participating in the different sessions and itineraries. This has helped a lot strengthen our communities and improve internal democracy. This year, we are repeating the format with the aim of continuing to bet on training as a tool for empowerment, participation and social cohesion. We want you to get to know our cooperative housing model better, participate in project management and create links with other partners. Enhancing the empowerment and self-management of members is essential to scale and grow our cooperative housing model in accordance with our values ​​of eco-social transformation. We encourage you to register and take advantage of this opportunity to grow together and build the future of Sostre Cívic.

One of the main novelties this year is that we will no longer hold the sessions in a hybrid format. now, each itinerary will have a face-to-face edition and an online edition. So you can choose the format that suits you best according to your needs. Each edition will be properly indicated so you know which is in-person and which is online.

This year, the Training Plan of Sostre Cívic includes four itineraries adapted to different phases and needs: First Steps, aimed at new members and groups in formation, with introductory sessions to cooperativeism and governance; Impulse Projects, for partners who are part of groups in the Seed and Impulse stages, focusing on the economic management of projects and urban planning aspects; Desenvolupament, for projects in promotion, with training on promotion management and sustainability; i coexistence, intended for partners in cooperative housing, dealing with issues of coexistence economy and consumption management and building maintenance.

1. First Steps Course: 

For new members and groups in formation. Some of the sessions are:

• Introduction to cooperative housing and the Social and Solidarity Economy
• Right to housing and tenant struggle
• Governance and care in the consolidation of groups
• Architecture and habitat criteria
• Prevention and treatment of sexist violence a Sostre Cívic

2. Project Impulse Course: 

Designed for groups in the Seed and Impulse stages. Sessions include:

• Deepening of the model of cooperative housing in right of use
• Economy of cooperative housing projects
• Urban planning and heritage search
• The process of developing a project: Stages and experience
• We generate a shared vision

3. Development Course

For projects in the promotion stage. Some sessions are:

• Promotion management
• Economy of promotion
• Sustainability
• Construction management
• Coexistence and care

4. Coexistence Course:

Intended for partners who already live in cooperative housing projects. Includes sessions such as:

• Economy in coexistence projects
• Consumption monitoring
• Insurance in a cooperative housing project
• Let's investigate the conflict

Calendar and registration

As we said, these courses the sessions will be held either face-to-face or online, depending on the edition you choose. Enrollments are for the entire course and you must commit to attending all sessions.
