We buy the plot of land in Cardedeu to promote the project of Cal Paler Nou

Last week, the purchase of the Cardedeu site was made effective where the project of Cal Paler Nou (previously called "La Serreta"). The project takes another step with the purchase and consolidation of the site. The cooperative thus recovers a private plot of land guaranteeing that with the cooperative ownership of the land, speculation will be avoided and the right to housing of members of the cooperative who make up the driving group of the project can be guaranteed.

The plot has a privileged location in the municipality of Cardedeu, on the edge of the agricultural park and the Serreta park and close to the station and the entry point to the town centre. A cooperative housing building will be built on the site under a lease of use regime for up to 39 homes of different sizes and with the commitment to co-housing with the design of large areas of common spaces. The project is also committed to sustainability and energy efficiency.

During the month of February, the process of constitution and consolidation of the driving group of the project and in the coming months the definition of the project and the design of the spaces will be carried out through a participatory process between the driving group and the technical teams of the collective project to respond to individual and collective needs lessons

This project means a strengthening of the model and the cooperative for the recovery of private assets, capitalization and implementation in the territory of the model.

Tornassol: the success of the participatory titles campaign

Sostre Cívic dropped the campaign Tornassol last February with the issuance of 600 participatory titles of 500 euros each with the aim of co-financing the purchase of the plot collectively together with the contributions of the partners who are part of the project's driving group. The support of citizens and organizations has made it possible to exceed the goals set: in a period of 20 days more than €450.000 have been collected
