This week preparations have begun to start the works on what will be the first cooperative housing project in right of use in Olesa de Montserrat.
The building, located between Pau Casals and Colom streets, in the center of the new Eixample of Olesa de Montserrat, will have 25 complete homes and complementary collective spaces, as well as spaces open to the population. Again, it is La Constructiva SCCL, the first cooperative and non-profit construction manager in the country, who is in charge of the work, after having built other of our cooperative buildings like La Balma i Cirerers in Barcelona.
The driving group of the project is already being organized to accompany all the phases of the construction and decide how coexistence will be in the building, where they plan to move in in the summer of 2023.
Affordable and anti-speculative housing
With this project, we recover disused private property from the hands of a real estate fund, and we comply with the social function of housing from self-promotion with a logic of common good and non-profit.
In addition, thanks to obtaining bank financing from the Catalan Institute of Finance and a grant from the Housing Agency of Catalonia, the initial capital contributions required to enter the project will be below €10.000 and the monthly fees are between €400 and €690.
