Gatzara Ecosocial we are a group of people residing in theIbiza island that we need to find stable housing at a fair and reasonable price. We believe that housing is a right that should not be speculated upon and we bet, ideologically and on a pragmatic level, for an alternative ownership model to buying and renting, such as that of cooperatives in right of use.

In addition to the social, environmental and economic justice that the cooperative model represents, we are also motivated by the fact that we can relate to each other in a more participatory and open way, getting to know each other as neighbors and deciding together what affects our coexistence In these years of history (since 2017) as a project, we have gotten to know each other better and have consolidated an intergenerational group that brings together different family and economic situations. We have faced the difficulties of materializing a project like this in a context as unfavorable as our island. Joining us at Sostre Cívic, we hope to give a new and definitive impetus to the project, for which we remain fully committed and hopeful, to take it to the next phases, until its materialization.
