Democratic governance is one of the pillars of Sostre Cívic. That is why we have different spaces where members can actively participate in the definition of the policies and in the decision-making of the cooperative and its housing projects.

It is the space of decision making of the cooperative, the body of expression of the will of all members. Participation is done as an individual and one vote is counted per member.
The General Assembly is normally convened once a year to approve the accounts and the Work Plan, which defines the guidelines and objectives of the entity's actions, as well as the election of members of the Governing Council designation of this body.

The Governing Council is the representative and management body de Sostre Cívic, and meets monthly. It is responsible for establishing the general guidelines for the entity's actions, according to the lines and agreements established by the General Assembly.
The partners that make it up may have been chosen by direct election in the General Assembly or proposed by the different housing projects and the Assembly of working partners. Charges have one maximum duration of five years, and they can be successively re-elected for equal periods of time.

The Appeals Committee is competent to resolve appeals against the decisions of the Governing Council regarding both the admission and the refusal of admission of members to the cooperative society, and the sanctions for minor, serious or very serious offences, as well as against the agreements of the assembly of the cooperative housing project and the project board, and the resolution of other resources attributed to him by the law or the statutes of the cooperative.
