Visit of works a Princesa49

Last Thursday, June 29, we made the first site visit to the building of Princesa49!

The users, the governing council and the technicians in charge of the project have made a site visit to the new residential building in the right of use model that the entity is carrying out. In this visit it was possible to do one assessment of the state of the works and has served for the users to determine and detail the final touches of the project such as the final distribution of the homes or the finishes of both private and collective spaces.

The assessment made by the technicians is that the works are progressing at a good pace and that the users are satisfied with both the collective and personal process who are living, as one user, Ade, tells us, "seeing the start of work on the building has been very encouraging. We are already talking in the plural with the rest of the users about how we will use the common spaces, especially the roof, which I think is the one we are most excited about."

Parallel to the construction process, the users they are working on more internal issues of group management and definition of common spaces.

The whole process is being an integral learning of the partners. On the one hand, they acquire technical, economic and resource management knowledge, and on the other, they learn to build the collective project by focusing on people, when, for example, they have to adapt their expectations personal towards the consensus and interests of the group. Thanks to this work, the collective housing project becomes something more than just architecture as it also values the care and emotions of its users!

In this video capsule one of these accompanying sessions is shown, facilitated by Matriu -supporting people and groups so that they become active agents in the construction of conscious and respectful relationships and forms of organization - in order to agree on the uses of community spaces and their finishes.
