The Som Mobilitat i cooperatives Sostre Cívic we have signed an inter-cooperation agreement to promote the use of shared electric cars in cooperative housing projects 

The first project they have promoted together is a La Sala, cooperative housing specifically focused on young people located in Calonge.

The aim is that two expensive resources, such as electric vehicles and housing, are increasingly accessible to all people.

Last Thursday, November 17, we presented a new inter-cooperation project that brings together synergies between the cooperatives Som Mobilitat and Sostre Cívic. The shared electric car that, at first, was given to the users of the cooperative housing building known as "La Sala", thanks to the agreement between the cooperatives Som Mobilitat and Sostre Cívic, has been made available to all citizens of the municipality.

With the agreement signed between the two entities, encourage the creation of cooperative communities that share life services such as housing and mobility based on collective empowerment and self-management.

This initiative is also born with the mission to cover the need for mobility where other means of sustainable transport do not reach, such as cycling, and to put only the strictly necessary shared electric cars.

The Som Mobilitat electric car will be available in the building's car park and will be available to the residents of the block and also shared with all citizens. All citizens who wish to enjoy the shared electric car service and other services must become members of Som Mobilitat through its website, sommobilatt.coop, with a one-time contribution of 10 euros.

The Calonge cooperative housing project is part of the cooperative's strategy Sostre Cívic de recover private and already built heritage that is in disuse to return to housing its social function from a collective management, with a public and non-speculative vocation.
