We present the first co-housing project for the elderly that we promote in Catllar (Camp de Tarragona) with the recovery of La Fàbrica to develop a cooperative housing project in right of use with services and shared spaces for active and self-managed aging.

This project aims to respond to the strong social demand for collective housing with services for the over 65 age group. The rehabilitation of the Factory del Catllar proposes a new model for the reactivation of disused heritage of high historical, social and architectural value. At the same time, sustainable and efficient construction criteria and energy rehabilitation and collective energy management will be applied.

The social, supportive and transformative economy is the paradigm that will govern the project, as it will promote democratic management and the value of use of housing with a non-speculative model. In addition, the project aims to enhance and protect the green space of high ecological value that surrounds La Fàbrica del Catllar, as well as its great landscape value.
