Cooperative housing, a growing alternative
Cooperative housing on a right of use basis is being consolidated in Catalonia as a real alternative to guarantee the right to housing outside the speculative market. According to data from theObservatory Llargavista, currently there are 67 cooperative housing projects underway throughout the Catalan territory. In the last six years, the model has grown to 1.190 homes on lease, which are already living together or will be in the next 2-3 years. In addition, 74,12% of these homes are classified as officially protected (HPO), reinforcing the social and transformative vocation of the model.
A practical and multidisciplinary course
The program has expert teachers in the promotion of cooperative housing, which not only comes from the world of architecture, but also from law, construction, engineering, economics, facilitation and cooperative management. This diversity of profiles allows us to offer a complete vision of all the aspects involved in the development of a cooperative housing project.
In addition to the theoretical sessions, students will have the opportunity to learn first-hand cooperative projects in operation in Catalonia and explore international experiences that share principles with our housing model.
