Like already we shared on our website, a few months ago we acquired, through the exercise of the right to trial and withdrawal, a property of 6 homes in Palafrugell, specifically in the neighborhood of La Sauleda. Two of these homes will be used for emergency months by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
This is the second purchase (after the one from Martorell) that makes the cooperative of an already built building, which was owned by a bank, to promote a cooperative housing project under a right of use regime. The homes, which will have the official protection rating, are of different types and have an area between 40 m2 and 65 m2.

Right of trial
The building has been acquired through the right of first refusal in force since the approval of the Law Decree 1/2015 of extraordinary and urgent measures for the mobilization of homes resulting from mortgage foreclosure processes. With the approval of this decree, preference is given to the Generalitat, town councils and social promoters as a Sostre Cívic for the purchase of these homes.
The Housing Agency of Catalonia promoted one agreement with the Catalan Institute of Finance (ICF) to finance acquisition operations via netting from the ICF. In addition, in this case a collaboration agreement has been made with Palafrugell City Council.
Housing incorporation process
The next day March 11 will be performed first information session, where we will explain the conditions and requirements for access and all relevant information to access it.
